Length: 700-1000 words (Literary Essay)

Choose one of the following topics and write an argumentative essay Please refer provided PDF file (Question and Instruction).  indicate the number of the essay topic you have selected.

1) Analyze how and to what end three course texts represent reciprocity.

2) Analyze how and to what end three course texts represent gender.

3) Analyze how three course texts represent and respond to global climate change.

4) Analyze a theme or concept of your choosing in three course texts. Ensure that you clearly identify your theme or concept.

• You must analyze three different texts by three different authors

o You shall not write on the same texts you used in Section A of this exam or in your short essay or long essay.

• Your essay must follow academic essay structure and must include an introduction, conclusion, and at least three body paragraphs (I suggest one body paragraph per text).

• Ensure that you construct an interpretive, argumentative thesis.

• Ensure that you draw on specific quotations to provide evidence for your argument.

• You will be evaluated on the cohesiveness and persuasiveness of your argument, the quality of your literary analysis, and the structure of your essay and paragraphs.
