Technology impacts operations (and society) both in positive ways (eg, improving productivity) and negative ways (eg, pollutions, job losses).
In following sessions we will discuss technologies used in operations and SCM for tracking and governance (RFID, blockchain), for sustainability (transportation consolidation, energy rationalization) and in lean/JIT.
Let us focus now on two critical technologies: those systems used for coordination (ERP -for instance the e-procurement system discussed in this session) and those technologies used for productivity (robotics, 3D printing).
