Forensic Linguistics
The field of Forensic Linguistics has developed significantly since the early work of Jan Svartvik in 1968.
Describe and critically discuss changes in research endeavours (/questions), approaches and methods over the past twenty years or so. Focus either on the analysis of spoken or written texts (e.g. ransom notes; text messages).
Consider how changes in linguistic methods and tools, as well as theoretical and analytical models have helped to develop the field. What new trends appear to be emerging and what is this in response to?
