FIND A CURRENT CONTROVERSIAL STORY IN THE NEWS THAT IS RELATED TO POLITICS AND WHICH INTERESTS YOU, THEN PICK A POSITION ON THE TOPIC, LASTLY EXPLAIN WHAT YOUR POSITION IS AND WHY YOUR SIDE IS CORRECT (USING RESEARCH, FACTS AND EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT YOUR POSITION).
Students will research and write a term paper on anything of THEIR CHOICE that is in the news and related to politics. Find a controversial story and pick a side on that story and convince me that your side is correct.
You will need to back up your argument with research and facts (including citations!). This is a 6-page paper, double-spaced. Page number 7 will be Citations page.
DO NOT EXCEED 6 pages, you may have less than 5 pages, but not more than 5.
Use Chicago style formatting for this paper. You will need a minimum of 5 sources for this paper.
