COMMUNITY: EAST VILLAGE DROP IN AND REHAB CENTER (CALGARY AB, CANADA)
ISSUES: 1. SUBSTANCE ABUSE (photo of Drop in and rehab center)
2. MENTAL HEALTH (Black and white photo)
1. Describe the photograph/picture/article as it relates to the issue. Consider the following thoughts for your submissions:
What is the issue?
Why is it an issue?
Clearly state and describe the issue.
How does the picture or article relate to the issue?
2. Examine population health (health outcomes) through the lens of Community Health Nursing and consider strategies to improve health outcomes.
Consider the following thoughts for your submissions:
Why did you choose the determinant of health?
How does it relate to your chosen community issue?
How do the underlying premises determine the health of your chosen community?
Provide evidence (from literature) for your claims.
Guidelines:
Use the 7th edition guidelines for APA. Formatting will be marked according to this standard.
APA formatting and appropriate references are expected. If the assignment is not in APA format and/or severe omissions of references are present, the paper will be returned.
At least one reference must be a scholarly peer-reviewed journal article. All references must be less than 5 years old so that current information is used.
