Introduction to the Built Environment (Group presentation)
Task
Each team is to produce a presentation to comprise of FIVE slides in ‘poster’ style
relating to the development of a vacant or redevelopment site for housing
construction, located anywhere in England, of not less than 3 hectares in size.
The team themselves must locate, identify and research a suitable “real” site within
England from the UK Government Planning Portal web site, located at –
www. planningportal .., or other recognised sources.
The chosen site must have an existing Planning Portal or Local Planning Authority
reference number which must be clearly shown on all five of the presentation slides
the group produces. NB The chosen site must NOT already have full planning
permission.

we are building 80 dwellings (houses/flat)with new access, including land for allotments, provision of Scout and Girl Guiding Hut, parking, public open space. regards to the needs of the local community and requirements of the legislation
relating to current Town & Country Planning regulations and the Governments
sustainability aims and requirements.
SLIDE 2 – Should clearly set out the “case” for the use of two “sustainable” products
in the construction of the houses/flats in the proposed development.
SLIDE 3 – Should clearly set out the “case” for rejecting and not using two
“sustainable” products in the construction of the houses/flats in the proposed
development.
