What is a Social Media Campaign?

This week, you will delve further into the innovative technology tool and begin to create a Social Media campaign related to your tool. You can use any social media platform and are welcome to use more than one.

*Note – you will not be posting on social media, but will be creating posts in your Google Doc that are drafts of what you would post to a real social media account.

You will need to research other social media campaigns, which will require you to have a social media account. If you do not have a social media account, I recommend you create one for the purpose of this course. If you do that, you are welcome to use a different name and don’t have to include any pictures of yourself.

You will be sharing the links to social media sites where you find information. You can read about social media campaigns. You are looking for information regarding your innovative technology tool.
My tool is PEAR DECK

This week you will focus on what you’ve learned about your topic through your research via Social Media Campaigns.
• Week Number (Week 4)
• Key Point Statement (this is a key point statement from research about your innovative technology tool)
• Related Resource (a resource that aligns with your innovative technology tool – this week should include your social media resources you use to find information about your tool)
• Instead of Application this week, you will use ‘Social Media Campaign Posts’ as your heading
o create three social media posts regarding your innovative technology tool – marketing it to students, teachers, or businesses (or all three)
o list what social media site you would post on (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
o include a picture if you would include it on the social media site
• References (be sure to cite in APA format)

For the three posts you will create, look over the information on the previous page, specifically the ‘7 of the Best Social Media Campaigns’ article. That article will show you what some of the great social media campaigns use for their brand.

You are looking to market your innovative technology tool. It’s likely that your tool has been marketed on social media. Look for previous posts and build on those (don’t copy and paste as that is plagiarism) but use what’s there to build more content and promote your tool.
