For your final assignment, you will be writing a lesson plan that connects literacy with your current or future role in the professional setting. Your lesson should include both literacy and SEL goals. It should focus on differentiation for a specific student or group of students.

When creating your lesson plan, you may use any format. Please see the Further Exploration area for links to Literacy and SEL goals.

The final assignment for week eight will be a lesson plan. See the rubric for this assignment which details how you will be graded.

Lesson Plan Overview Participant provides an overview before the lesson to describe the specific needs and circumstances of the student presented in the lesson.
Participant provides details that relate to one or more of the lesson’s objectives.
10 points

Content Participant clearly states adaptations or modifications for the lesson.
Participant clearly states the teaching resources and materials they will use.
Participant clearly states the academic AND social work goals.
Participant describes the actual lesson plan including the beginning, middle, and the end.
70 points

Writing Style and APA Citations Participant cites sources using correct APA citation for in-text parenthetical Literacy and reference formatting. There are no errors in grammar, spelling, or mechanics.
