ritically evaluate and select suitable business processes to facilitate sustainability within a business organisation that operates in a global context.

As this is a summative submission of formative work, two learning outcomes are addressed

1. Critically evaluate and select suitable business processes to facilitate sustainability within a business organisation that operates in a global context.
2. Have the competencies to be a digitally literate professional.

The Portfolio is the final assessment on the module and requires you to build on your work in the formative Coursework, supported in Seminars and your work with Tableau or Excel in the Workshops. You need to:

1. Submit a 2000 word report on your chosen Company innovating in Sustainability performance (excluding references, tables and diagrams) evaluating either Social or Environmental performance of the company and making recommendations for change. Your work can be amended here in line with feedback you have received on your first Coursework.

2. Submit your work on exploring the social media data set on a Sustainability topic of your choice, showing the work you have done in creating data visualisations and analysing your results. (750 – 1000 words excluding diagrams).

3. Submit a 250 word reflection assessing your key learning on sustainability and digital competencies assessing how the learning could impact you in future and in your career and making ONE recommendations to improve learning on the module.

The three items above need to be submitted as ONE overall report in MS Word or pdf format.

4. Additional submission of your TAGs spreadsheet is required if you use your own spreadsheet and not one provided by the module leaders.

This is not assessed, it is required for purposes of validating your submitted work. However, Non-Submission of the spreadsheet will result in TEN marks being deducted from your Analysis of your Social Media Data Set.

Weightings for each item are shown below.

Guidance

In addition to the guidance below, you will be supported in understanding the assessment requirements in Seminar Week 9 and 10 and in consultations with staff in Seminars in Week 11 and 12.

The formative coursework will support you in developing your ideas for company evaluation and the computer workshops will support you as we work through producing the required data visualisations for your analysis.

Report on Company Performance (2000 words, 40%)

Your report should be an engaging but analysis-based evaluation of performance in either Environmental or Social sustainability in a company of your choice that has a record of innovating in Sustainability.

The report should represent an evaluation of performance through critical evaluation of secondary data sources and recommendations for change based on your own appreciation of innovations in your chosen area. A suggested structure and word count allocation is given below:

1. Introduction- introduce your chosen company and the innovations you have chosen to evaluate, clearly stating if these are in Social or Environmental Sustainability. Outline the contents of your report (400 words)
2. Methodology – an explanation of your approach to company evaluation (300 words)
3. Sustainability Performance Data for the chosen company you are evaluating (200 words and ideally, data presentation should be in tables not included in word count)
4. Critical evaluation of company performance on your chosen innovation and sustainability focus. (700 words)
5. Recommendations for improvement (200 words)
6. Conclusions (200 words)
7. References (single reference list at the end of your report and NOT included in the word count)
