Explain what is Positive Psychology.

This week, you will read and learn more about one of the newest subfields of Psychology: Positive Psychology. Check out this TedTalk with Martin Seligman, considered to be a founding leader in the field of Positive Psychology:

As you read and watch, thinking about happiness and Positive Psychology, consider any and/or all of these questions:

What is Positive Psychology?
What is happiness? What things seem to NOT matter for happiness? What things DO impact happiness?
According to Martin Seligman, what are the “three different happy lives?” Which is the most important to you, and why?
What does “flow” mean, in terms of Positive Psychology?
What are some things we can do to be happier (Both according to your reading and Seligman)? Which things might you employ in your own life?
Write a two page reflection paper double-spaced reflecting on any or all of these issues.
