ASSIGNMENT
1. Rites of passage are events that take place at significant times in your life. In many societies it was customary for boys to face some kind of trial or test, to mark their transition to manhood.

Frequently these involved proving “manly” qualities like physical endurance, hunting and warfare skills. One common culture for Rite of passage is getting a driver’s license.

The phrase might be used to describe any ritual or trial that transforms one’s identity from youth into adulthood. The most important for Christians take place at birth also called Dedication, then Baptism which is the formal acceptance of the faith and Communion.

2. Children socialization means that children will only learn to relate well with others if they learn to relate well with “peers,” which would include siblings, cousins, schoolmates, playmates, age-mates etc.

Most children spend more time in direct interactions between siblings and through their interactions with siblings they develop specific interaction patterns and social understanding skills. These interactions may serve as an important context in which children deal with issues and learn about complex social emotions such as rivalry and jealousy.

Children themselves appropriate and reinterpret reality in the course of ongoing relationships with siblings, relatives, play group, school mates or parents. Children socialization is summed up around direct relationships.

3. The role children play in Christian churches are much. They act as workers and allow us to evaluate church for its actual safety and utility; and they serve as a focus for our fears.

They also bring happiness and sense of living in Christian churches through child dedication, baptism, and holy confirmation, sometimes exploited for our amusement or entertainment.

Children are a means to get closer to God just like Jesus said that the heavenly kingdom is meant for children. Children also have a role to be involved in ministry which is instrumental in the growth of the church and can lead to a fundamental change by leading others to God.
