Synthesise knowledge of the anatomy, physiology and pathology sufficient to underpin assessment, diagnosis and management of presentations.

1. Synthesise knowledge of the anatomy, physiology and pathology sufficient to underpin assessment, diagnosis and management of presentations.
This is where you demonstrate your knowledge of A&P, signs and symptoms and patterns of illness presentation.

2. Critically appraise the concepts, philosophies and evidence that underpin the notion of consultation and diagnostics.
You should refer to the consultation models you included, and provide some critique of these. You may also wish to refer to scores (e.g Well’s score), algorithms or other consultation tools or guidance.

3. Demonstrate the clinical skills required to provide autonomous same day consultation for patient management and referral/ discharge.
This allows you to discuss the observations, the differential diagnosis and your reasons for your management decisions.

4. Critically appraise the decision making processes in relation to research, evidence based practice, legal and ethical theories and national and local policy guidelines.

Here you talk about the guidelines and research that underpins your case, and the ethical and legal frameworks in which you work, including the policy changes that have led to advanced practice and your role in it. At level 7 you should provide some critique.
You have only 5 minutes so this can be brief – a minute or so per point – but should highlight what is important.
