Description of assignment
Students are expected to create a case study in a form of an argumentative essay of the Swedish bank: NORDEA.
The essay should briefly describe the following topics:
• general characteristics of the bank
• characteristics of the business model and main business lines of the bank with special regard to the related risk
• detailed risk profile analysis of the bank
• the risk management practices in relation to the main risk categories
• Provide detailed calculation about the different financial ratios linked to measure risk
• personal opinion and evaluation of the author about the risk profile, its changes and the risk management practice of the bank, its appropriateness, shortcomings etc.
Discuss the characteristics of the business model and main business lines of the bank with special regard to the related risk
