Introduction

Schizophrenia is a severe mental illness which interferes with one’s cognitive abilities. Usually, those people suffering from schizophrenia are unable to differentiate between real and imaginary things.

This condition is called psychosis. Notably, people with schizophrenia have a difficult time relating to others, managing their emotions, and thinking clearly.

At times this disorder is not only disabling but also chronic. Ideally, schizophrenia affects approximately 2.4 million Americans each year and the most affected are the people in the late teen and early adulthood (Patel et al., 2014, p. 638-645).
