Conduct a literature review on barbershops and hair salon’s local and international markets with the focus on determining enterprises that have succeeded in digital transformation by 15th December 2020.

In the modern era, countries, organizations, and individuals are experiencing rapid development in the field of technology. According to Pagani and Pardo (2017), technology has allowed multiple enterprises and firms like Amazon and Netflix to grow and become more prosperous significantly. Moreover, emerging companies are increasingly implementing the use of technology to their advantage.

Therefore, based on the increased innovation, in future years, multiple stores and industries will increasingly depend on technology to expand their services, consumer base, and efficiency, distinctly during the occurrence of pandemics such as coronavirus and hurricanes.

According to Madichie and Munro (2019), several firms and shops, such as Redsea barbershop could not continue with manual production and distribution of services and products due to covid-19. Thus, shops and enterprises categorized as non-technology related could increasingly get incorporated in the digital globe.

The effect will prevent them from severe decline and elimination from local and international markets that highly involve using technology. Therefore, the proposal mainly aims to create website, booking system, and social media networking for the Redsea barbershop based on secondary and primary research.
Problem Statement

One frequent concern that practically impacts approximately every barbershop like Redsea is severe consumer queue service. Redsea barbershop has a broader consumer base despite having many chairs.

However, with covid-19 crisis and the outlined regulations, such as social distancing, Redsea consumers experience long queues that are time-consuming. Therefore, this project aims to solve this challenge through digital transformations by creating a website, booking systems, and social networking engagement for the company.

The research focuses on how technology can transform Redsea barbershop from level zero (0) of the digital maturity to level one (1) (Alex Fenton, 2019). The strategy will guarantee Redsea survival in future since any business or company that fails to engage with technological transformations is highly likely to decline and be eliminated in future
