As a platoon sergeant or section sergeant, your commander and 1SG, just notified you that you will be deploying in six months. The command team informed you that the area of operations is very different from your home station (mountainous region and high altitude); the commander directed you to develop a 2-Week physical fitness/special population program to get your Soldiers ready for this deployment and to continue the 2-Week program once in country, as time permits.

The commander handed you a running estimate which contains the terrain and weather information; this will help you in developing your PRT program. The command team directed you to include strength and mobility activities and endurance and mobility activities in your program.

Running Estimate

Atropia is nearly surrounded by mountains. The Greater Caucasus range, with the country’s highest elevations, lies in the north along the border with Donovia, the AO where your unit will conduct operation. Deep ravines, from which bubble mud volcanoes and mineral springs, carve the area.

The climate at this mountain elevations is generally cold. The weather averages 4 °C (39.2 °F) in January and 25 °C (77 °F) in July. Your unit is expected to be in country from January to May.

Use the attached sample below to develop your program.
