You can approach the topic from your preferred side (focusing on critical aspects). Explain the events that led to the announcement of the Eisenhower Doctrine 1957 (Suez Canal Crisis, Soviet influence in the Mediterranean) and it’s impact, how Aarab countries reacted, how USSR reacted. Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Countering Soviet influence, oil etc.
