2. Referring to Faces of the enemy, provide two examples of how enemies are created. What is the purpose of enemy creation? How does it relate to our course?

3. How have we discussed the definition of racism in the course? How does this definition explain why one group may have more accessibility to resources over other groups? Use two examples to support your answer.

4. What is the oppositional gaze? How is it an act of resistance? In the article Hookscriticizes two groups for excluding black women. Which ones are they and how does she say they have ignored or objectified black women?

5. Describe one of the stereotypes we have discussed in class. Where did it originate, what function does it serve? What negative impact does it have, and what would be a modern example?
