The purpose of this innovation application paper is to apply the concepts and frameworks discussed in class and in the readings for class to a technology that interests you. Last year students chose, for example, 5G technologies, virtual reality headsets for business and HR training, Quantum Computers, 3D printing in the fashion industry, etc.

The technology S-curve and the extent to which the technology has advanced on that curve.

The role of design dominance and standards in the diffusion of the respective technology in the market.

The role of timing of entry in bringing the technology to market.

Market diffusion: target customers, early adopters, early majority and challenges associated with crossing the chasm.

Forecasting the adoption of the new technology.
