The international community has expressed grave concerns over Iran’s actions in enriching uranium. Iran has claimed the uranium enrichment process is simply for domestic, nuclear power plant usage, and they are within their rights under the Nuclear Non-proliferation treaty.
Many suspect that the enrichment program is a mask for enriching uranium to weapons grade level (given Iran’s abundance of oil/gas why do they need nuclear power to generate electricity, and the close ties to Pakistani scientists and engineers with experience developing nuclear weapsons for Pakistan) with the ultimate aim of building nuclear weapons.
