Description of the assessment

In the mid-term of the module you will be assessed via a 1800-word essay, in which you will critically consider one of the offender. These will typically involve critical reviews of underlying theory and research and the effectiveness of interventions.

This kind of assessment will give students the opportunity to assimilate the material of the module and study in depth the theories of victimology, the issues around victims’ needs, their rights, the classification systems and the effective prevention.
