Math and Science Unit
You will select a topic in early childhood science and develop a science and math unit comprised of 6 math and science lesson plans/activities (3 math, 3 science) suitable for early childhood aged children. Your submitted assignment should include:
table of contents,
the goals of the unit and the goal’s correlation to Nevada’s Academic Content Standards
a concept map
relevant list of five children’s literature titles
six internet resources (3 student and 3 teacher)
six complete lesson plans (3 math and 3 science, follow the format presented in this syllabus),
photos of sample manipulatives and materials used in the lesson plan (at least 3 photos per lesson plan)
a reflective piece (your thoughts on the use of the unit in your future teaching).
