Atypical Psychology: Psychological Disorders
In your assignment you should:
Produce an academic report of 1500 words (+/-10%) covering signs and symptoms, explanations and research on the following psychological disorders: Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders and Schizophrenia.
You will need to ensure you structure the assignment with a cover page, front page, contents page, introduction, main body and a conclusion.
Also provide a reference list using the Harvard referencing system. Appendices may also be used where needed, remember these are not graded and all work relevant to the main criteria should be in your report.
Introduction: You need to consider the characteristics and symptoms of the three disorders (Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders and Schizophrenia).
Main body: You need to discuss at least two different psychological perspectives explanations of the different disorders.
After discussing an explanation, evaluate a key piece of research which supports the explanation. It may be an idea to ensure that you use various different perspectives and use other psychological explanations and research to refute their claims.
Conclusion: Within the conclusion ensure you summarise your ideas and arguments discussed in the main body.
