Draw the Central Nervous System on a human body in one of the 4 sections and also draw the Peripheral Nervous System on a human body in one of the remaining 3 sections.

Brain Diagram

Part 1 Instructions:
As an individual you will use the materials you have at home to complete the
assignment. On the sheet of paper, fold it into 4 sections. If you would like to draw
each of them on a separate sheet of paper that is okay too. Each of these 4 drawings must be colored with either marker, colored pencil, or another coloring tool (i.e. paint)

You will draw the Central Nervous System on a human body in one of the 4 sections.
You will draw the Peripheral Nervous System on a human body in one of the remaining 3 sections.
Next you will draw two diagrams of the brain.
The first will label the main structures of the brain (listed below), draw this on one of the remaining 2 sections.

The second brain drawing will label the 4 lobes of the brain, use the last section on your folded paper to complete.
1. Human Body with the Central Nervous System (3.1 PowerPoint, Slide 9)
a. Label the brain
b. Label the spinal cord
2. Human Body with the Peripheral Nervous System (3.1 PowerPoint, Slide 9)
a. Draw the nerve pathways
3. Brain showing the 4 Lobes of the Cerebral Cortex (3.2 PowerPoint, Slide 11 – 14)
a. Frontal Lobe
b. Temporal Lobe
c. Parietal Lobe
d. Occipital Lobe
4. Brain Showing and labeling the main structures (3.2 PowerPoint, Slide 7)
a. Cerebrum
b. Medulla
c. Pons
d. Thalamus
e. Hypothalamus
f. Cerebellum
g. Corpus Callosum
h. Cerebral Cortex
i. Spinal Cord
j. Pituitary Gland

Part 2 Instructions:
Of all the structures you labeled provide the definition and function(s) of each. You can use the back of each sheet of paper you drew on or you can write these out on a separate sheet. THESE MUST BE HANDWRITTEN, NOT TYPED. IF IT IS TYPED IT WILL NOT COUNT.
1. Central Nervous System
2. Brain
3. Spinal Cord
4. Peripheral Nervous System
5. Frontal Lobe
6. Temporal Lobe
7. Parietal Lobe
8. Occipital Lobe
9. Cerebrum
10. Medulla
11. Pons
12. Thalamus
13. Hypothalamus
14. Cerebellum
15. Corpus Callosum
16. Cerebral Cortex

Draw the Central Nervous System on a human body in one of the 4 sections and also draw the Peripheral Nervous System on a human body in one of the remaining 3 sections.
