What were the results of the previous election? What were the major issues in the preceding parliament leading up to the election?

2003 Ontario election

The written report is a two-to-three page summary of the presentation.  This is not a formal paper but rather an outline of the presentation and it should include a list of sources used for the presentation.  The oral presentation should be approximately 25-30 minutes in length (no longer).

The following are some topics that should be included in the oral reports (as well as other material that you think interesting about your particular election and that adds to the presentation):

What were the results of the previous election?
What were the major issues in the preceding parliament leading up to the election?
Which parties contested the election?
Who were the party leaders?
When were they chosen, how were they chosen, what were the dynamics of the leadership
campaign?
What were the major issues of the election campaign?
What was the style/nature of the election campaign?
What were the election results?

Note: A presentation about the 2003 Ontario election needs to be done first, answering the aforementioned questions. Then, an outline (2-3 pages) has to be written down, including all relevant information from the presentation as well as sources used.
