Identify an area for your project (see “Project topics”) and begin to explore how it applies to your specific community.
Use your current knowledge from living in or near the community to identify a potential area of interest and briefly discuss why you think that an upstream approach could be an effective way of addressing the issue. (Note: Students can still change their topic area after gathering more specific data during the community assessment in Week 2.)
Students should prepare a 2-3 page summary of why they chose their topic area and their ideas for developing a specific focus.
The topic is Environmental health related to public nursing. Projects will be related to the identified environmental issue in the community, for example, the environmental effects of Covid 19.
