Approval of the topic and resources is required. Pick a population it might be challenging to work with either because of limited exposure to the group or because of your personal values and beliefs.
Pick one of the following populations in the United States to research:
Families of African, Arab, Asian, Latin-American, Native American, European, or multiracial descent and narrow it down.
Students can narrow topics by gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, spirituality, age, ability status, etc.
The required length of the paper is 10-12 pages total. The style of paper is APA 7th Edition. Required references include five professional counseling, peer-reviewed articles from the last 15 years (no articles from earlier than 2006). The paper will be worth 25 points of the final grade.
