Counseling Jewish Americans
During this class, we will be exploring specific cultures and appropriate counseling/school psychology concepts and strategies.
You will be assigned to teach peers about the Counseling of Jewish Americans. Topics to be covered in your presentation:
Characteristics and strengths;
Specific challenges; and
Implications for clinical practice.
The presentation should cover material from the assigned readings and from our text, Counseling the Culturally Diverse Theory and Practice by Derald Sue and David Sue- Chapter 21; however, you will also need to incorporate other peer-reviewed literature into this presentation.
In addition to assigned readings, 5 peer-reviewed sources are required for this presentation. The presentation must include a visual aid such as PowerPoint or Prezi. The entire presentation should last at least 45 minutes.
