A Go-Live checklist is a critical tool for ensuring the success of any project. The checklist provides a framework to ensure that all critical elements are addressed prior an implementation (especially EHR implementations).
For this module’s assignment, you will be creating a Go-Live checklist for your EHR implementation. As a first step in understanding the creation of your checklist review the following materials:
1. AMA web site: Electronic Health Record Implementation Module.
2. Read the following article: Electronic Health Record (EHR) Implementation GO-LIVE Planning Checklist.
Based upon the readings and supplied checklist templates, create your own one-page Go-Live checklist that addresses the following areas:
1. Staff
2. Hardware
3. Down Time Procedures
In your checklist make sure you list the sequence of how you would like your “Go Live” to occur.
