Steps
Familiarize yourself with the most recent version of the Sustainable Development Report of the United States 2018.
The first half of this report characterizes the US’s performance, moving one by one through the list of 17 SDGs.
The latter portion of the document then goes state-by-state assessing each state’s performances on the SDGs.
Select a state within the United States of which you will focus your research.
Select a state in which you see or would like to see your career take you in the future.
Be sure to look at the indicators behind the goals in your chosen State’s profile.
Write a 1-2 page brief outlining the performance of your chosen State.
Include an intro to your chosen state.
Tell us a little bit about your state (you could include a fun fact or an interesting statistic).
Identify specific challenges your state faces.
Make recommendations on how to address specific challenges.
