Religious Artifact
Choose a cultural artifact (art, objects, images, graphic novels, books, movies, TV, food, fashion, etc.) that you have encountered in your daily life (outside the institution of a particular religion), and provide an analysis that highlights and provides insights into its religious character and religious dimensions.
Use the course materials and readings to understand the object.
Assignments receiving full credit will include thoughtful engagements with the course’s keywords, the artifacts’ religious dimensions, and how the artifacts are either implicitly or explicitly religious.
Provide an image of the artifact or a link to the artifact in your reflection.
Your reflection should be at least 500-750 words and use Gold, Nye, Swidler, Prothero (or Houston Smith) in your reflection.
