Choose a long-standing social issue or problem relevant to generalist social work practice. Once your topic has been approved, you will develop an annotated bibliography that addresses the following aspects of the social issue:
Description of the Problem
a. Problem definition/description
b. History of the problem
c. Etiology of the problem (causes and related factors)
d. Impact of the problem on diverse client systems
e. Competing points of view of the problem (what societal values, political ideologies, and social and economic conditions have impacted the framing of the problem?)
