Research Paper Assignment

Go to #3 in the History Research Guide. Click on Articles. Choose any of these eight (8) history databases to use. Now, find an article you like in the database from any point in history. Cite your chosen article to complete this part in MLA or Turabian format.
Example:

Johnson, Kolop. Politics in History Journal, vol. 1, no. 14, 2019, pp. 3–4.
In your own words, give a brief opinion of why you think this is an interesting article. (2-3 sentences at least).

Using #4 in the guide as an example, completely answer these questions:
Who? Who is the author/organization? expert? credentials?

What? Is the information verified, supported by evidence, college-level?

Why? Purpose of the information: to inform? sell? entertain? persuade? biased? opinion?

When? Do you need current information for your topic? Is the information up-to-date?

In new words, craft an original argument for your article, written in one sentence.

Your journal should be in an academic format, either MLA or Turabian. When you complete #2 and #3, you should have either citations (MLA) or footnotes (Turabian).
