The next step in the hiring process is to submit a short white paper that discusses a specific area of applied psychology that is of interest to you. A white paper is an authoritative report intended to help readers understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision.

What are the key ideas, and theories, and who are the key contributors? Include historical milestones that influenced thinking in the field over time.
Analyze the societal or cultural needs that led to the development of this area of psychology, and include examples.
Analyze how a specific area of psychology may influence current professional behavior, and provide examples to support your analysis.
