ASSIGNMENT

Be sure to view all the videos and tutorials for Module 8 before starting this activity. This activity includes two parts. In the first part, you will practice quoting from a source and paraphrasing from a source. In the second part, you will practice summarizing an entire article or longer work.

Part 1:
Choose two different sources that you cited in your outline. From each passage choose a direct quote that you think would be applicable for your final paper. Then, paraphrase the direct quote in your own words. Use the following format to develop your initial response.

Choose a third source that you cited in your outline (it must be different from the sources you used in Part 1 of this activity). This source must be at least five pages long, but it can be a book chapter, a peer-reviewed article, or another longer source. Read the entire source, and then summarize it in no more than 100 words. Use the following format to develop your initial response.
