MODULE TWO CASE STUDY: Case Study – Trouble at Firmline PLC

To complete this assignment, read the following case study carefully and then answer the following questions:

Pettinger, Richard. 2007. “Trouble at Firmline PLC.” In Introduction to Management. Fourth Edition. New York: Palgrave, pp. 505-508.

This case study highlights some environmental aspects present in the firm. Summarize your understanding of the organizational environment at Firmline PLC, and use the theoretical language introduced in Chapter 1, Argyle article, and Mintzberg article.

In other words, you are being asked to describe the organizational environment and discuss how this environment affects decision-making at this firm.

1. Describe the decision-making processes.

2. Describe the forms of rationality present in decision-making.

Case study assignments should be a minimum of 1000 words in length.
