Ethnography is when you take real life interviews and experiences and utilize theater conventions to create a unique piece of theater. Fires in the Mirror is a performance based on a series of interviews regarding the Crown Heights Conflict that took place in Brooklyn in 1991, just five months after the Rodney King Riots in Los Angeles.
