Analysis of a Child(CHILD SHOULD BE A SIX-YEAR-OLD BOY)

Select a child you know and have easy access to for this assignment. You must get the parents’ permission to use their child; you will only be interviewing the parent, not the child.

The entire paper should be double-spaced, 1” margins (12 point font) and about 2 pages in length.

This assignment is worth 100 points and should include the following segments (which should be identified by headings):
Introduction (10 points) – Biography of the child (1/3 of a page)
5 specific recommendations (1/3 page each, 15 points each) relating to successful parenting techniques that can be used with this specific child.  These recommendations should relate specifically to this child.

Each recommendation should be numbered, and the first sentence should include the specific recommendation.  The rest of the paragraph should explain that recommendation.

Two of these must relate to Piaget’s theory and Erikson’s theory (one for each theory)  – identify within the sections which recommendations relate to these theories and how they relate.

If these theorists are not mentioned, credit may only be given for the other 3 recommendations. Grammar/spelling/punctuation account for 15 points.  Read your paper out loud to help identify potential mistakes.
