You should choose one specific photographer or movement/concept within photojournalism or documentary photography and create a self-assigned research question.
This question must be agreed by tutor(s), and this process will be guided and supported in unit sessions.
You should create an argument that is supported by a range of critical sources which you will quote and discuss throughout your essay.
Your self-assigned question should consist of two main elements:
1.Specifically defined photographic material
2.A clear critical question informed by relevant literature
The essay should be: · Clearly titled with your surname, and chosen question · 2500 words in length(+/-10%; not including bibliography or image captions) · Page numbered ·
Fully and consistently referenced, detailing all your sources using the Harvard system or equivalent· Supportedby a full bibliography of all sources used, using the Harvard system or equivalent · Supported by fully captioned illustrations
