Case study
The school have contacted Social Care to share information about Sonny Berkowitz aged 7 who was found to have bruising on his back when he was changing for games this afternoon. They have asked Sonny how this happened, and he seems unclear in his explanation. He was overheard telling one of his friends a different explanation from the one he told the teacher.
It is known that things have been very difficult at home recently as his Mum arrived late to pick him up a few weeks ago and explained this as being due to a major argument with her partner.
