Your Project and writing will be based on the question as follows:

A hypothetical project where you plan the project including consideration of methodology, data collection methods, ethics etc, and do a longer literature review.

The aim of the project is to introduce an intervention to address barriers to learning and progressing within a subject of the curriculum. Eg primary school maths, English or science.

Writing style should be At level 7
1. Demonstrate a systematic understanding of key aspects of their chosen educational focus and a conceptual understanding that enables them to devise and sustain complex and original arguments, and solve problems, using ideas and techniques of educational research;
2. Demonstrate knowledge of the main methods of enquiry and analysis in educational research, propose critiques for these and apply their understanding in the development of original methodologies to tackle and solve problems, showing autonomy and independent learning;
3. Demonstrate an ability to evaluate, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and to present to a range of audiences, and to and develop lines of argument and make sound judgements in the absence of complete data;

triangulation – using more than two research approaches in order to check results

reliability – the extent to which the research produces results that can be replicated and are generalisable

2 TYPES OF (VALIDATITY) INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL
– Validity – the extent to which the analysis and interpretation is authentic, accurate and true.

Ethical research- research conducted with respect for people, knowledge, democratic values and quality of process.

Reflexivity – Reflecting, questioning challenging the research process, looking for meanings and patterns, understanding the researcher’s role in the research

Rigour – The quality of research – requires a critical reflexive approach
