Showrooming occurs when someone visits a brick-and-mortar store to examine and evaluate products without the intention of buying at the store.

To facilitate showroom, online retailers like Amazon.com have developed a mobile app call Price Check, with this app consumers can scan the UPC product code, take a picture of a product and Amazon.com will respond wit its price as well as prices from many other online vendors.
