The automobile industry has a long history and pinpointing the person behind the automobile innovation has been a little bit controversial. However, scaling down to the way the innovation was initiated the most practical automobile created was the Benz Motor Car.

This type of automobile created a line that made a huge difference between vehicles and the horse driven carriages. In essence, Karl Benz the mastermind behind the three-wheeled Benz of 1886 carries credit for his innovation of automobile (Cox). The reason being unlike other invention his innovation carried a true image of the modern automobiles.

The cars invented by Karl Benz were greatly practical and used an internal gasoline-powered combustion engine that worked just like the modern day automobiles. In this case, it comes clear that Henry Ford was not the architect behind the automobile invention except for the fact that he brought a new perspective into the industry in 1908 when he introduced the Ford’s Model T that shaped the automobile industry for good (Cox).
